Climate Change Education

Education is the key that unlocks the full potential of people, serving as a bridge to change and climate change is not exempt to it. To fight climate change in its roots, we need to educate ourselves about the causes of climate change, educate ourselves about our contribution to climate change and what we can do to avert the impacts of the climate change crisis.

When we truly understand and address the impacts of the climate change crisis, we become empowered with knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes needed to act as agents of change.

The International Community including the UN Framework convention on climate change, the Paris Agreement, and the Associated Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) recognizes the importance of education and training to address climate change. (UNESCO)

Faith in Trees is one of the organization’s fighting to have climate education added to the earning curriculum so that climate change effects, impacts and how to adapt can be taught in a classroom.

Education empowers and helps to shape and change attitudes and behavior. Tapping into the fresh and innocent minds of the children ensures that generations to come are filled with climate change enthusiastic actors.
