Tree Planting

“Trees are the greatest soldiers in the fight against climate change.”

Faith in Trees from the time of inception has been promoting trees as the easiest solution we have to the most immediate threat to human existence, climate change. We cultivate seedlings and plant them across schools, churches in Uganda.

Trees play avital role in carbon sequestration, absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and storing it within their trunks, leaves, and soil. Averagely, a tree can absorb 1okgs of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere per year. With this we have a natural way to save our environment. The challenge however is a lot of trees are cut down at record rates where we lose hectares per minute.

Our trees are also at a threat of extinction with 147 trees extinct and 20,000 more at a risk of extinction.

With the world waking up to the threats of climate change, one simple thing we can do is plant a tree.
